MI Electrical Grids Infrastructure Analysis
This report analyzes six primary organizations responsible for electrical grid management and power delivery in Michigan:

• PJM Interconnection – Independent system operator for eastern regions
• ITC Holdings Corporation – Transmission infrastructure (Canadian-owned since 2016)
• UPPCO (Upper Peninsula Power Company) – Upper Peninsula utility provider (Canadian-owned since 2021)
• UMERC (Upper Michigan Energy Resources) – Upper Peninsula utility (subsidiary of WEC Energy Group)
• Northern States Power Company/Xcel Energy – Upper Peninsula provider
